Los Angeles, July 20th….It’s time to celebrate!  Everyone’s invited to join in (and, in keeping with the times, how inexpensive it is) !

And just what are we celebrating?  Our Post-Pandemic Reopening on Saturday, August 7th.

 

Our New Schedule effective Saturday August 7, 2021:

5pm:    Comedy Improv by teens

6pm:    Rookie Improv teams rotate

7pm:    JV Improv teams rotate

8pm:    2001 An Improv Oydssey LAC veteran improv team and longest running 20-year-old hit show.

9pm:    Stranger Than Fiction veteran improv team

8 and 9pm casts above are on every other Saturday so next show August 21, 2021

 

August 14 and every other week teams below:

8pm:    Consensual Emu (formerly Temporary Insanity)  veteran improv team

9pm:    Less Than Flattering  veteran improv team

 

LA Connection was founded by Kent Skov in 1977. Skov was a member of the legendary Committee in San Francisco and grew up going to high school and college with Robin Williams where they performed together at College of Marin. Skov has also worked with Paul Sills founder of Second City, Del Close the father of the long form Harold and has been a member of the Writers and Directors Guild since 1984. Skov was the mastermind behind the cult hit TV series Mad Movies that ran for 3 years on MTV, 2 years of Nick at Night and 2 years in syndication. Skov has trained many famous alumni including Will Ferrell, Matthew Perry, Hank Azaria, Josh Groban, Jon Lovitz, Chris Kattan, Cedric Yarbrough, Taylor Negron, Sharon Lawrence, Mindy Sterling, Shannon Elizabeth, Edie McClurg, Victoria Jackson and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel producer creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. Skov was signed into the Directors Guild by Marty Pasetta the director of 18 Oscar broadcasts. 

 

La Connection Comedy Theatre has a beautiful mural on it’s west wall with Hollywood and Burbank icons and some of our famous alumni including from left to right Josh Groban, Hank Azaria, Edie McClurg, Matthew Perry and Will Ferrell. Inside the theatre a mural of audience is painted on the wall along the theatre seats to expand the audience.
